RothRau AG takes over solar activities of the OTB Group B.V.

Hohenstein-Ernstthal, 05 February 2010 – RothRau AG is to take over from the OTB Group B.V., Eindhoven, Netherlands, 100% of the shares in that company’s subsidiary OTB Solar B.V. (OTB). OTB’s product portfolio consists of systems and technologies for the solar industry, especially antireflective coating systems and turnkey production lines for use in the manufacture of crystalline silicon solar cells. Moreover, OTB’s core competencies also include high-rate PECVD coating processes and industrial ink-jet printing applications with interesting potential for use in the production of new, high-efficiency solar cells. All of OTB’s products, like those of RothRau, are based on inline production.

OTB Solar and ARISE Technologies Corporation (TSX: APV and Frankfurt: A3T), which is dedicated to becoming a leader in high performance, high quality, cost-effective solar technology, today announced that their cooperation has resulted in significant progress in the development and deployment of OTB Solar's Single Pass Selective Emitter Process, in combination with a conventional diffusion furnace, to produce high efficiency silicon based photovoltaic cells.

OTB Solar announces new representative in Asia

OTB Solar strenghtened it's sales and service force in Asia with a new agent. Mr. Steven Ho (managing Director) and Dr. Lye-Hung Chu (Director Sales/Applications) will be representing OTB Solar from Singapore. Their territory consists of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Hong Kong and The Philippines.

OTB Solar opens Shanghai office

OTB Solar announced today that it has opened an office in Shanghai, China, and has appointed Wen Lien as Managing Director to lead its expanding China business. All sales, installation and service activities in China will be coordinated from this office.

“Opening an office in China is another step in further strengthening our presence in this key market” says Dr. Paul Breddels, CEO of OTB Solar. The opening was accompanied by a celebration event taking place in Sofitel Pudong that was attended by major cell producers from both China and Taiwan.
